Period 1 warming up, pre-reading and listening (WB)
Teaching Aims:
1.To learn something about the nutrients of different foods.
2.To introduce the function of different kinds of food to human beings
3.To lead the Ss to pay attention to the balance of diet.
4.To improve the listening ability.
Teaching Procedures:
Step 1 Warming up
1.Show the Ss a picture of the famous cartoon character Garfield.
T: What is his name? What do you know about him? (He is fat and very lazy…)What does Garfield like best? What do you think is the reason for Garfield’s being fat? What is Garfield’s favorite food?
2. Show Ss pictures of different kinds of foods and teach some new words.
(mushroom, cucumber…)
